1. A Smoothie

For those short on time this one’s for you! Try to make it a balanced meal by adding

1 x Serving of Protein
– 1 scoop protein powder
– Raw eggs if you are trying to add more calories into your diet

2 x Servings of Veg
– Handful of spinach
– Kale
– Zucchini
– Greens Powder
– Cucumber if your keeping it just green

1/2 – 1 x Serving of Fruit
– 1 Cup of Berries
– 1/2 Banana (frozen gives a creamy consistency)
– Kiwi or green apple if your keeping it green (without protein)

1 x Serving of Good Fats
– Handful of nuts
– Tbsp Nut Butter
– MCT Oil
– 1/2 Avocado
– 1 Tbsp Chia or Flax Seeds

Now your smoothie is packed full of nutrients and your day is off to a great start! My favourite is 1 Scoop of Protein, 2 x Handfuls of spinach or kale, 1/2 frozen banana and almond butter!

Or keep it green with 1/2 Green Apple, Cucumber, Spinach, Mint and Lime and a Tbsp of Chia Seeds.

2. Make a Omelette

One of the great things about a omelette is that you can make it extra big and share it with your partner or take half for lunch or save it for breakfast the next day. Eggs are a wonderful source of protein and many other important nutrients such as B-group vitamins, choline, vitamin A and vitamin E, plus they contain some iron. Eating eggs in the morning can help sustain you for longer and if you add some nourishing veggies to the mix you’ve got a clear breakfast winner when it comes to nutrient-density!

For a double serving use 6 eggs. Single – 3

My favourite combos are
Sliced Green Pear and Spinach
Spinach, Tomato and Mushrooms

Tip: If you are average at flipping omelettes, put the pan in the oven under grill instead of flipping – your welcome 🙂

3. Dinner for Breakfast

Who says you need to have ‘breakfasty’ things for breakfast? If nourishment is the priority, it doesn’t matter if what you choose for your meals is a little out of the box. I have been known for heating up Salmon for Breakfast or enjoying dinner leftovers first thing in the morning. It can be an easy reheat and high in nourishment to start your day, plus you can do it the night before! Your energy levels will love you for it too.
